Cystex Review and Giveaway
When I was contacted by a PR from
and asked to talk about Cystex, my first thought was that I don't know enough about the product to talk about it! However, my next thought was that I do have Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's) and would love to know more about the causes, preventions and remedies!
Cystex® Urinary Pain Relief Tablets combine a pain reliever for temporary relief of the burning and discomfort of urinary tract infections (UTIs), along with an antibacterial agent that helps stop the progression of the infection while you wait to see a doctor (UTIs require prescription antibiotics to completely cure the infection; see your healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and prescription medication).
In reading the info Laura sent I found that many things I believed may actually be myths, or Old Wives tales as I call them! Through many UTI's over the years I have heard that drinking cranberry juice helps, that cutting out caffiene is helpful and that some UTI's are caused by antibiotics! Well, whats a girl to believe? Thats where Cystex and the Cystex Getting To Know Your Bladder comes in!
Cystex has an interactive website at www.cystex.com that includes accessible information such as an interactive “Ask the Urologist”http://www.cystex.com/Pages/index.php?src=forms&id=Cystex_askthedoctor feature and a “Know Your Bladder Better” Video Series; http://www.cystex.com/Pages/Video_Library and they even have a blog http://blog.dsehealthcare.com/cystex/
There is a lot of helpful info there, but it has to be said that the Cystex Web site is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a personal medical diagnosis or formal medical advice. If you have any health questions or concerns, we recommend that you seek medical advice from your physician.
I'm glad to say that I don't have a UTI right now, but with my "tract record" I'm sure it won't be long until I do! Then I'll be very glad that I have Cystex in the medicine cabinet!
Cystex retails for $9.25 for a package of 40 tablets and $15.95 for a 100-count package. You can purchase online at www.cystex.com, www.drugstore.com and other online retailers.
