A change of pace

They say change is good, but its not always good feeling! I am dealing with that now. For 10 years I have been caring for my aging Mom at home..and enjoying it most of the time. However, her health has declined to a point where I have to consider putting her into a boarding home. Its not an easy choice to make. I would like to be able to keep her here but I am not physically able to care for her anymore and I want her to have the best care possible. She is a part of this decision and she says she doesn't want to go ( of course) but she knows its the right thing to do. That only makes me feel guilty, as a daughter, not to be able to give her all she needs. Have any of you dealt with this? Its sure occupying much of my time just thinking "what if".......

Let Me Introduce Myself!

Hello blogging world! This is all new to me so hopefully it will be a successful endeaver!
I am a middle aged ( shock!) Mom of 6 and Grandma of 14. I can't imagine how that happened in so many short years, but it is what it is! LOL I have been married for 29 years, though my husband and I have lived apart for the last 9 years. Thats a whole other story and I'll tell you someday after I get more comfortable with the blogging! Let me just say it works for us!
My hobbies include Bingo, entering sweepstakes and casino gambling. I DON'T think I have a gambling problem but I sure like to win! My youngest son says I would bet on a snail race if the odds were good!
I am a personal care attendant and I take care of my live-in Mom who is 73 and disabled. She is a joy and we get along like 2 peas in a pod! Most days my work involves just being here, so it leaves me a lot of free time, which used to be boring until I discovered the computer! Now, like many of you, I can't find enough hours in a day to do all I want to do!
I have a friend who has encouraged me to get into blogging and I have been a bit reluctant, but since its 4th of July I decided today is the day to get started! Happy Independence Day everyone!!I hope yoy all get a big bang out of the day!
